Darren Dolcemascolo, Sr. Partner

Darren Dolcemascolo is a senior executive advisor who helps leadership teams improve execution, unlock capacity, and build operating systems that scale — without adding headcount. As Senior Partner and co‑founder of EMS Consulting Group, he works with organizations in complex, regulated, and technology‑driven environments, including biotech, healthcare, aerospace/defense, and advanced manufacturing.
Darren’s work focuses on how leadership decisions translate into execution: the cadence, governance, and behavioral norms that determine whether priorities stick or dissipate under pressure. He helps executive teams reduce decision friction, strengthen alignment, and create the conditions where operational improvement becomes repeatable rather than dependent on heroics or constant external support.
Over more than two decades, Darren has partnered with leaders at organizations such as Qualcomm, Roche/GenMark, Hologic, OptumCare, Millipore Sigma, General Atomics, ViaSat, Kingston Technology, and Farmers Insurance. His engagements typically center on clarifying priorities, stabilizing leadership routines, improving cross‑functional flow, and designing systems that increase capacity and execution reliability.
With deep roots in operational excellence and continuous improvement, Darren applies Lean and Six Sigma principles selectively — in service of leadership effectiveness and system performance, not as standalone initiatives. His advisory work blends strategic insight with practical implementation, helping organizations achieve faster execution, greater predictability, and sustained performance gains.
Darren is the author of Improving the Extended Value Stream: Lean for the Entire Supply Chain (Productivity Press) and has been published in multiple industry journals. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA with Graduate Honors from San Diego State University.
