In last month's newsletter, we talked about the Lean Model for Operational Excellence including strategy deployment, value stream mapping, and approaches to kaizen. This month, we are going to be talking about a very specific method within Lean thinking that is used for improving equipment performance, Total Productive Mainentance.  Please see below for two articles and a video on this topic.

Next month, our 2-Day Lean Healthcare: Clinical and Administrative Improvement program will take place on November 12-13.  We will also be holding a single day workshop called Lean Production Control and Inventory Management: Kanban and Pull Systems on November 5th.  For our complete schedule of off-site training programs and on-site offerings, please visit our Lean Training page.

If you are unable to attend our off-site training programs, please consider our online training programs.  To view all of our online training offerings, please visit Lean Training Online.

Featured Topic: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
TPM is a team-based approach to improving equipment performance.  We bring together equipment operators, engineers, maintenance personnel, and even equipment designers to better manage equipment performance and maintainability.  This improves operational stability overall, which is considered foundational to moving toward just-in-time and built-in-quality.
