In this month's edition of our lean newsletter, we will be talking about kaizen and kaizen events. Kaizen is a Japanese term that literally means "good change." We often think of it as small changes for the better in the context of continuous improvement. Kaizen events, on the other hand, are team workshops aimed at rapid improvement in a very short period of time. Both of these concepts are very useful. Please see below for several videos and an article related to this topic.

We have space available for our single-day lean workshops in March; we have also recently announced dates for our 3-day blended-learning Lean Manufacturing Certification program in San Diego. For our complete schedule of off-site training and for on-site training information, please visit our Lean Training page.

We now have a 14-day free trial available for our online training. To view all of our online training offerings, please visit Lean Training Online.

Featured Topic: Kaizen and Kaizen Events

Kaizen is essential to a lean transformation; specifically, all employees must be involved in identifying and eliminating problems and waste through continuous improvement. Kaizen events are rapid improvement activities that are completed within a week's time. Below are some articles and videos dealing with these concepts.
